Ray Anguay - Vice President & Senior Estimator
Ray is the main reason why the future of Kahului Carpet will remain stable and very promising. Ray began his floor covering career at the tender age of 20 in March of 1990. Ray has had the rare privelege of being taught and mentored by perhaps the "BEST" in the flooring business. He can boast that his instructors were commercial carpet experts Rick Cubera and Charlie Manabe, and one of the premier hard sheet vinyl (VCT) installers the late but great Theodore "Teddy" Boteilho. Ray is also schooled in the latest computer estimating technology.
Charlie Manabe - Senior Installation Supervisor
Charlie started installing vinyl tiles and Laminate woods in 1970. He has been a lead man and supervisor for Kahului Carpet since 1990. Charlie's expertise is with woven and pattern carpet for ballrooms and corridors. Charlie's craftmanship with print carpet is legendary throughout the state of Hawaii's flooring industry. One of the proudest achievements of his flooring career at Kahului Carpet took place as the assistant supervisor under Rick Cubera with the installation of 3000 square yards of woven pattern hand sewn carpet at the world renowned Grand Wailea Hotel ballroom. No job is too large for Charlie!
